The paraffin wrap
Paraffin, also known as, mineral fat is a special wax which can be heated to high
temperatures. It is applied by a brush in several layers on different parts of the body e.g. hands
or back, at a temperature between 50 and 62 ° C. Once warm paraffin has been applied, the
area is covered with a plastic wrap and is left on for 15 to 20 minutes. The wrap promotes
blood circulation in the skin, warms and relaxes frozen muscles. Heat dilates blood vessels,
improves blood supply and plays a positive role in the regeneration of muscle movements.
softens skin and contributes to the elimination of cellulite. Through the generation of heat and
tightening properties, the wrap effectively enhances skin tone and has beneficial effects on the
joints. The change can be noted immediately - the skin feels soft and healthy.
Finally, paraffin wraps also have a beneficial effect on the nervous system.
Parafango is an interesting variation: it is paraffin enriched with sea mud, and contains a high
concentration of minerals. Parafango is highly effective against cellulite. The ease of application
is also among its advantages: no need to wash, simply remove the layers formed on the skin.
After treatment, the area treated may have been reduced by up to 5cm (treatment involves
applications from May to October- between five to ten sessions). The muscles of the buttocks,
thighs and belly feel firmer and are more relaxed. Parafango is also effective for the treatment
of the neck and hands, making them more flexible. One session lasts about an hour.
